About the event
A Unique Shakespeare Retreat exploring Shakespeare's major tragedies with a particular focus on Macbeth, King Lear and Hamlet
Arrive on Sunday 23rd February for our evening welcome dinner, or on the morning of Monday 24th February for our first play reading, and stay in one of our spacious ensuite rooms through to check-out on Friday 28th February. During your stay you will have the opportunity to observe or participate in:
a guided reading of one play each day, followed by a group discussion
practical workshops exploring Shakespeare's verse and drama
creative response sessions (in which you have a chance to respond to Shakespeare's plays in writing, visual art or drama - or explore the local landscape)
a candlelit presentation on the effects of candlelight in Shakespeare's plays
